Polyester and Vinylester resin systems

MCtechincs recommends for polyester mold production the use of:

• a vinylester gelcoat (brush or spray application),
• an intermediate layer laminated using vinylester resin providing temperature and mechanical resistance and,
• a low shrink polyester resin to provide the mold stability. Our tooling polyester resins have been designed to obtain low shrinkage, high stiffness and high temperature resistance. The reduction of shrinkage is achieved by addition of special additive in the resin. Different systems have been developed to be processed by hand lay-up, spray-up or infusion.

Several systems are available to answer specific needs and requirements.
